Filmmaker Nadia Flamenco alongside incumbent Andrea Jordan have been elected to the Jefferson Elementary School District (JESD) Governing Board in the November 5, 2024 general election.
Voters could choose up to two candidates, one to fill the seat of outgoing Board member Manufou Liaiga-Anoa’i and the other, occupied by Jordan, who was up for reelection.
Flamenco, who was endorsed by the San Mateo County GOP, won with 37.35% (13,024 votes)* of the vote. Jordan followed with 32.10% (11,192 votes)*. Cheyrll Catuar’s election bid failed as she placed last, with 30.55% (10,650 votes)*.
Jordan and Catuar were both endorsed by San Mateo County Democrats.
According to a post on Flamenco’s personal Instagram account, she hopes to bring back “good education,” parent’s rights, teacher’s rights, community support, and PTA organizations.
