People tend to enjoy a variety of food combinations that would be considered “weird.” Out of curiosity, we asked students and staff members of the FRS community to share some of their favorites.
John Kian Reyes – “Cheese sticks dipped in cream cheese or ice cream with hot sauce.”
Lucas Yuen – “Mixing soda, like Fanta and Gatorade.”
Ellie Tse – “Mac and cheese with ketchup and ranch.”

Now, we decided to try some of these out (with certain alterations) and give honest reviews about them.
Test 1: Ice cream and french fries
Celica: 7/10 I can’t really taste anything.
Evonne: 7/10 I could only taste the ice cream.
Ms. Dequina: 8/10 I like the texture.
Test 2: Ice cream with pickles
Celica: 0/10. Too sour, tastes disgusting.
Evonne: 0/10. The texture was really bad, and tasted horrible.
Ms. Dequina: 8/10. I love it, the sweet and sour combo works really well.
Test 3: Yogurt with goldfish
Celica: 4/10 I didn’t like the texture.
Evonne: 5/10 The yogurt overpowers the flavor.
Ms. Dequina: 4/10 I couldn’t taste the goldfish.
Test 4: Mixing soda (Fanta and Gatorade)
Celica: 5/10 The color looks unappetizing, and the taste is watered down.
Evonne: 5/10 It tastes like medicine.
Ms. Dequina: 6/10 It’s too sweet.
Test 5: Hot Cheetos and cream cheese
Celica: 3/10 The Cheetos felt stale.
Evonne: 0.5/10 I hated the texture and the taste of the Hot Cheetos and cream cheese combined.
Ms. Dequina: 2/10 Tasted like cardboard and spice.
Test 6: Cheese sticks dipped in cream cheese
Celica: 0/10 I don’t like cream cheese.
Evonne: 0/10 I don’t like cheese sticks.
Ms. Dequina: 1/10 The cheese stick just tastes like solid cream cheese.
Test 7: Chili Cheese Fritos with cream cheese
Celica: 2.5/10 I couldn’t taste the cream cheese.
Evonne: 0/10 I hated the taste of the Chili Cheese Fritos.
Ms. Dequina: 8.5/10 The chili and cheese go together.
Test 8: Bananas and Peanut Butter
Celica: 5/10 The peanut butter was too thick and hard to swallow.
Evonne: 5.5/10 It has a thick texture, and I could only taste the peanut butter.
Ms. Dequina: 7/10 I wish the bananas were sweeter.
